Invitation Only confirmed one certainty about his future when making a winning return to racing at Addington on Friday night.

The three-year-old made it win three in just his tenth start for owners Diane Reilly, Stu and Pauline Gillan and Oliver Ryan when beating a talented line up in his first start June.

With a smart horse on their hands and with a full calendar of quality races programmed right through spring and into the summer, trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety are spoilt for choice with Invitation Only.

“It was super to see him perform so well first up because we are confident there is plenty of improvement in him,” Cran said.

“He has always been a tall, rangy horse and even though he performed very well as an early three-year-old, time was always going to be his friend.”

“He has strengthened up and is looking bigger and stronger and he is filling his frame out even better after he spelled during the winter.”

“It is all onwards and upwards from here, we will look do a bit of grade racing and mix it with taking on the three-year-olds.”

“He raced a couple of the smarties in the Sires Stakes race in May and the race couldn’t have panned out much worse, but he ran a cracker fourth.”

“He is obviously going to be very competitive in the grades, we would love to get him to cup week and slot him into a couple of grade races.”

“There are plenty of options with him and his form is going to dictate where we will go.”

“If he warrants a crack at the better three-year-olds we won’t be scared to have a crack.”

“He is a good staying horse, so he can mix it with the big dogs.”

Invitation Only showed his staying prowess when scoring in a very respectable 3.13.0 time for 2600m.

Blair Orange had the pacer up on the speed throughout, firstly leading and then taking a trail.
