After five quality colts were secured it was mission accomplished for Kentuckiana Lodge when the National Yearling Sales wrapped up in Christchurch on Wednesday.

Trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety came away from three hectic days of selling happy they were able to go home with the yearlings they had targeted before the sale.
And they can not wait to mould the classy types into future racetrack stars.

“On the whole things couldn’t have worked out better, really.”

“We can turn the page on the sales very happy with the number of horses we have purchased and the quality amongst them.”

“It is a long road to the sales ring, we have been all over the country and slept with the catalogue since we got it.”

“After all of that, to get the ones we really wanted, it is very satisfying.”
