Friday night's Winter Rewards Finals have come along at the perfect time for Kentuckiana Lodge.

Trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety have three runners starting in $25,000 finals at Addington in Mostert, Joyride and Bettor Than Lizzy.

With all three horses fit, healthy and in form, there look to be no reasons why the trio can't get a share of the good stakes on offer on Friday.

Mostert only has to keep up his outstanding winter form to be a major player in his Winter Rewards challenge.

Though the race's preferential draw hasn't handed him a perfect draw, Cran thinks he is much better off than some of his key rivals.

"Two on the second row is probably not a draw you'd pick out but it does look workable enough."

"We are hopeful he should be able to get a good enough run through from there."

"He's an adaptable horse, he showed in his last win he can work around in the middle stages."

"He's got a nice turn of foot and can come from behind too."

"His form has been great, he's a horse in a happy place so if he gets any sort of luck they will know he is there."

Mostert clashes with fellow Kentuckiana Lodge pacer Joyride on Friday night.

Much like her stablemate, Joyride has been in great touch through the winter.

"It wasn't the plan but we gave her some standing starts and she's turned into a standing start gem."

"Naturally, going back to the mobile is somewhat of a disadvantage."

"But she's been racing well and she's fit and ready to go another good race."

"She probably just needs a touch of luck drawing towards the outside of the second row."

Bettor Than Lizzy has the shortest win price of the Kentuckiana trio, rated a $2 winning chance by bookmakers.

Like Joyride, the mare reverts to mobile racing after recent standing starts.

Bettor Than Lizzy will start from barrier 3 on the second row, which again looks workable.

"She's slotted into a race she should be very competitive in, so we won't use the draw as any excuse."

"Her last start was excellent, she made up a lot of ground, which is hard to do over 2000m at Addington."

"Her training has been very good and we are expecting her to be giving them plenty to think about."

Carter takes the reins behind Mostert and Bettor Than Lizzy, while Anthony Butt combines with Joyride.
