Regardless of the stake or the status, some wins are just more satisfying.

That's the feeling Kentuckiana Lodge trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety got when Tour Party powered away with the Harness Million for two-year-old colts and geldings at Addington.

The classy colt paid the biggest win dividend of his career because the victory came on the back of a last-start defeat at the same track.

While some punters and commentators doubted Tour Party could turn it all around, the Dalgety camp felt quite the opposite.

"The first thoughts last week were that we would have liked to have finished a little bit closer, but it was far from a terrible run"

"We got home and analysed all of the sectionals and the replay and we felt he was entitled to finish where he did and that it was a respectable effort."

"So we stuck to our guns and continued with our usual regime for him leading into a big race."

"There was a bit of noise around that it would be a big ask for him to win, but he's a quality animal and we kept full faith in him."

"To get the job done was very satisfying, we were thrilled for his big group of owners."

Tour Party will head to a heat of the Sires Stakes Series at Ashburton on Labour Day, where he will be joined by Cherish Me.

The filly was a powerful winner of the Hilarious Guest Fillies Classic, looking much more polished than in her last start second at Addington.

"She was certainly one we weren't panicking about, but at the same time it was a relief to see her do everything right," Cran said.

"It is onwards and upwards now and we will head to Ashburton with a bit of a spring in our step."

The Dalgetys were just as pleased with Cherish Me's close relation All Of Me in her third placing.

The quality filly has faced her share of adversity but it is clear she hasn't lost any of her class.

"She had her troubles in Auckland at the beginning of the year, but it is just so pleasing to see her back."

"She's been good in both of her runs and there should be a little bit more improvement to come."

Suva Baby collected third prizemoney in the Harness Million two-year-old fillies final plus a $50,000 Nex Gen bonus, on Friday night.

She will also be among the bumper Kentuckiana Lodge team heading to Ashburton later this month.
