Look out Australia, a star filly is coming your way.

Kentuckiana Lodge has confirmed that Remember Me will head to Sydney to contest the Group One New South Wales Oaks.

The filly is part of a two-pronged attack on the Carnival Of Miracles for trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety with Krug also heading to Sydney.

Following her big second in the recent Group One Sires Stakes Fillies Final, the New South Wales Oaks heats could not be coming at a more perfect time for Remember Me.

“The race is on at the perfect time for us for several reasons,” Cran said.

“First and foremost we have a very good filly that we feel is coming into her own.”

“Her run in the Sires Stakes Final was outstanding, she worked early, copped some pressure and was run down by another nice horse with a better trip.”

“She has come through the run super which has been just as pleasing.”

“With where she is at physically we were looking for another big target.

“The sales series race is the next big goal here in New Zealand and she can’t go in it.”

“She’s a homebred I guess you could say, but she is the best bred homebred filly you could ever come across.”

“Rather than sit on the sidelines and watch everyone else go around, we will head off to Sydney.”

“Her owners Paul and Mary Kenny were keen to go, so we have booked the plane and we can’t wait to get the filly on it.”

Clearly Remember Me is in her physical prime, but her race smarts have also gone up a level recently to match that.

“Her first few starts, she just ran them on natural ability, not really knowing what she was there for.”

“But now she is a lot more street smart with those races under her belt.”

“We are heading to Sydney with a bit of confidence that she has the all-around game to match it with the good ones over there.”

Carter Dalgety will greet Krug and Remember Me in Sydney before Cran heads over closer to race time.
