Kentuckiana Lodge is set to step out another ‘Me’ at Addington on Friday night and all signs point to a strong performance.

Tayla Me will follow in the footsteps of her relations Christen Me, Remember Me and Sugar Me when she starts her career for trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety in race 2.

Though she clearly has big boots to fill, the well-bred filly has the talent to make a name for herself.

“She is a lovely filly with a bit of presence about her," Cran said.

“It’s no secret that we love this breed and we have had a lot of success with it.”

“They are just made to be racehorses and this filly is no different.”

Tayla Me is a half-sister, by American Ideal, to Kentuckiana Lodge’s six-race winner Sugar Me.

The filly has impressed in her trials, winning her last two nicely.

“Her trials have been very pleasing, it is a another step up at the races but she is well capable of taking it.”

“We don’t know too much about our opposition but she is going to win a maiden race very quickly.”

“With any kind of luck it could well be on Friday night.”

Kentuckiana Lodge’s equine cashflow card Trixton Time also starts at Addington on Friday night.

Another of his very honest performances is on the cards.

Sugar Me was among the Kentuckiana Lodge team in action at the Rangiora trials on Tuesday.

The pacer went stride for stride down the straight with open class star A G’s White Socks and the pair hit the line locked together.

“He trialled super on Tuesday, as everyone would have seen this horse came a very long way in a short time last time in.”

“His spell has done him the world of good and he is ready to go on with it now.”

“We will find a nice race to kick him off in now.”

Major Icon showed he was also ready to head to the races after a smart trial win at Rangiora.

The two-year-old held out her stablemate Serene Miki, reeling off slick sectionals to win.

Major Icon will now head to a two-year-old race at Addington next week.

Serene Miki and a number of the Kentuckiana team will head back to the trials to continue their preparations.

Black Pearl, Franco Mecca, Light Up The Fire and Pink Panther Pounce each pleased Cran and Chrissie with their efforts on Tuesday.
