The Kentuckiana Lodge crew will bring the right form to give their rivals plenty to think about at Addington over the weekend.

Trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety take five horses to headquarters on Friday and Sunday and each looks a genuine winning hope.

Defy Me heads back to Addington following a strong last start effort for second, in which he made a big recovery from an early error.

If the pacer can bring his manners on Friday night, he should take plenty of holding out.

“Unfortunately he drew the 1 hole last time, it’s a tricky spot and he couldn’t quite put his feet in the right places,” Cran said.

“That was his first standing start and we are hopeful he has learnt from it and can do things a bit better this week.”

“Certainly on his last start and his training since he should be able to give them plenty to think about, if he can get away on a better note.”

The Real McCoy is another of the Kentuckiana Lodge team to run second in his last start at Addington.

Though the pacer lands in a field full of form, he looks a strong hope.

“He’s been a grand campaigner since coming to us, running great races,” Cran said.

“There looks to be some handy ones in his race this week, but there’s no reason he won’t run another cracker for us.”

Like his stablemates, Magician also produced a last start second at Addington ahead of his start in race 7.

Though handed a tricky draw in barrier 11, the pacer is expected to race well.

“He had a bit of a freshen-up before his last start and he is definitely better for that run,” Cran said.

“The way things have panned out he has taken on some of the stronger maiden fields that have been assembled in Canterbury.”

“It’s another handy one of Friday night, but that won’t worry him, he will race well.”

The Dalgety camp is also looking forward to stepping out That Is Love at Addington on Friday night.

The mare has been a good improver through her three starts to date.

“She is one of those horses that has taken a couple of starts to adjust to racing.”

“But she has thrived off each run and made good progress.”

“Her last start fourth was handy and she has trained well since, she’s a chance.”

Kentuckiana Lodge will start one runner at Addington on Sunday in Chicago Bear.

Drawing barrier 9 looks the only factor against the pacer in race 4.

“The draw has certainly made things interesting because if he drew anywhere else we thought he would take plenty of stopping.”

“I am sure he will run a great race, he just may need a touch of luck along the way.”

“That’s Carter’s job, we have him as ready as we can.”

Carter Dalgety will drive all of Kentuckiana Lodge’s runners this weekend.
